Dr. Acevedo was born and raised in Texas and attended undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University.  He attended medical school at the Texas Tech School of Medicine and then completed his post graduate training in Ear, Nose and Throat surgery at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.  After serving nine years as a physician in the U.S. Army he was honorably discharged with the rank of Major.  Dr. Acevedo and his family settled in Abilene in 2014.  He also has received a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas- Dallas and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy.  

Dr. Acevedo serves on the boards of the West Texas Rehabilitation Center, Texas Tech Health Science Center National Alumni Board and West Texas Health.  Also, he currently serves as President of the Big Country County Medical Society.  He and his family are members of Wylie Global Methodist Church.

Dr. Pope attained her undergraduate and doctoral degrees from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX. She was born and raised in small town New Mexico, where she spent lots of time on the family ranch. Dr. Pope enjoys working with patients of all ages and loves spending time getting to know the individuals and families she works with every day. Her special interests include diagnostic hearing evaluations, hearing aid fittings of all manufacturers, electrophysiological testing, and Cochlear Implant mapping and follow up care. She is state board licensed in Texas, a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, and nationally certified by the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology). Outside of work she spends a majority of her time with her husband and son. They enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities and are avid sports fans. 

Jessica is a Brownwood native and has lived here since 1992. She graduated from Brownwood High School in 1996 then attended Hendrick School of Radiology where she received her radiologic technologist degree. Following graduation, she worked at Brownwood Regional Medical Center in the radiology department while working towards her BSN degree in nursing. In 2014 she started her journey to become a nurse practitioner at The University of Texas at Arlington culminating in board certification through AANP. For almost 3 years she has been working as a family nurse practitioner providing general medicine services for many Brownwood residents. In her new position she will be responsible for staffing the West Texas Health Ear Nose and Throat Clinic in Brownwood along with Dr. Acevedo from the West Texas Health organization. She is excited about this new opportunity and is ready to serve her community.   

Erin was born and raised in West Texas, growing up in Baird and graduating from Baird High School. She graduated from McMurry University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and attained her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Hardin-Simmons University in 2005. Erin initially worked as a traveling PT, exploring the US and gaining new clinical experience from every state she worked in. She has been employed as a PT and the student coordinator for the West Texas Rehabilitation Center in Abilene since 2008. She enjoys treating a variety of ages and diagnoses but specializes in vestibular rehabilitation. Erin has earned two specialty certifications in this area of expertise - She is AIB (American Institute of Balance) Certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation (AIB-VR) and AIB Certified in Advanced and Complex Vestibular Rehabilitation (AIB-VR2). She plans to get her 3rd vestibular certification in concussion management and treatment in the near future. Erin loves having the opportunity to work with her West Texas neighbors and is excited to continue to give back to her hometown community!
